・はじめに
こんにちは！ENBUゼミナールという専門学校で映像制作をしております、飯島秀明と申します。この度、10月18日にシネマハウス大塚にて上映される、中間制作『なんでやねん』の外国人キャスト（アメリカ兵役）を募集致します。
Introduction
Hello! My name is Hideaki Iijima, and I am studying film production at ENBU Seminar, a film school in Tokyo.
We are currently seeking a foreign actor (to play a U.S. soldier) for our student production “Nandeyanen”, which will be screened on October 18th at Cinema House Otsuka.

In the case of many applications, a document screening will be conducted, and only those who pass will be invited to audition.
The results of the document screening will be notified only to successful applicants on Wednesday, September 24.
・テーマ
原因、症状も多様な認知症。その中でも過去の記憶に取り憑かれるという症状に注目し、宏一とハナエとの交流でケアの難しさや患者との寄り添い方を描く。また、横須賀という日本でありながら、米軍兵が常駐する複雑な土地柄を舞台にすることで、在日米軍と日本人の関係性を取り上げる。完治する方法が未だに判明しない認知症、いまだに解決策が見つからない米軍基地問題。「なんでやねん」と漫才でポップに開き直りながら、答えが見つからない双方の問題から、一筋の光明を見出したい。
Theme
Dementia has many causes and symptoms. This film focuses on the symptom of being trapped in past memories, portraying the challenges of caregiving and ways of connecting through the relationship between Koichi and Hanae.
Set in Yokosuka, a city in Japan where U.S. soldiers are permanently stationed, the film also reflects on the complex relationship between the U.S. military presence and local residents.
Just as there is no known cure for dementia and no definitive solution for the U.S. base issue in Japan, the characters confront these unsolved problems. Through comedy (manzai), saying “Nandeyanen” (“Why?!” in Kansai dialect), they attempt to find a ray of light in situations without clear answers.
・あらすじ
認知症の祖母の介護で漫才師になる夢を諦めた青年である宏一が、祖母の死後、横須賀の街で元漫才師の老婦人ハナエと出会う。ハナエの人柄に惹かれた宏一は彼女と漫才コンビを結成するも、ハナエは宏一のことを昔の彼氏であるヨシくんと勘違いしてしまう。彼女は宏一の名前を全く覚えることができないため、宏一はヨシくんになり切って、彼女と漫才大会の出場に向けて稽古に励む。宏一はヨシくんとして接していく中で、宏一はハナエとヨシくんの２人の過去を徐々に知っていく。
Synopsis
Koichi, a young man who gave up his dream of becoming a comedian to care for his grandmother with dementia, meets Hanae, a former comedian, in Yokosuka after his grandmother passes away.
Drawn to Hanae’s personality, Koichi forms a comedy duo with her. However, Hanae mistakes Koichi for her ex-boyfriend “Yoshi-kun” and is unable to remember his real name.
Koichi decides to play the role of Yoshi-kun, practicing with her for an upcoming comedy competition. Through this, Koichi gradually learns about Hanae’s past with Yoshi-kun.
・募集内容
アメリカ兵役。男性を募集します。人種、演技経験は問いません。出演日は1日のみ。出演シーンは２シーン程度で、セリフも一言ですが、横須賀の過去と未来の橋渡し役として非常に重要な役柄となっております。 物語中では過去に別のアメリカ兵が起こした交通事故に対して責任を感じており、横須賀に在留する兵士として事故現場に献花を捧げるなど、過去への反省と未来への強い決心を持った人物像になっています。
